"I do not have two mice and I do not have two mouses ... I have one mouse and come to think of it, I have another mouse."
I can't believe I just took the time to read that. |

Because its not a proper noun it can be shortened.
Similar question: http://fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=60745 Although most AFF members would shorten it, because its a proper noun it just has a "s" or "es" added to the end. |

easy solution , put 1 mouse in another drawer or throw 1 away , at least then you only have a mouse in your draw , not mice .

the Device it self is called a mouse.....just because it relates to the animal it doesnt carry over the same terminology in regards to numbers.....the proper term in Mouses.but normally you dont go around saying mouses....more like i have more than one mouse......

The technical term for a mouse is actually pointing device, even though pointing devices include trackballs and graphic tablets / styluses, so you could call it 2 electronic pointing devices.
Hmmm, this could be a nice pickup line...."Hi, would you like to see my pointing device in my drawer?..." :-) |
