Seriously though, can anyone recommend someone in Melb who can repair that kind of thing with decent colour match?

I have no doubt that they all would have, you were all sooo close. I was kind of lagging behind, so I faired a bit better.
Spent about 3 or so hours cleaning her up today and it isn't nearly as bad as yours....still it's a nasty sight : . I like my cars to be MINT so I will be buying new front bar, centre splash shield, fog lights, headlights and repair 2 small stone chips on bonnet & windscreen.
.....as you say, a very expensive lesson indeed!!

Reminds me of that time i tried to draft a truck on the highway doing a 100kph. Just got up to him, and you can hear the stones hitting the front. Needless to say, i sat a bit further back after that.
