I hate to attend a meeting today for work. I was in Frankston for a whole hour and someone attempted to break into my EL. They've broke the lock and now you can use anything to lock/unlock the car :(

And to think, it used to be a Holiday Resort in 1948. At least, that's what they said in Crackerjack!
It's not a good area, no. Somebody broke into our XF years ago. But those things were easy to break into. Fart on the lock and it opened. BL on your car. Hope you never have to go through this again. |

Frankston is not that bad, I mean how many suburbs have 4 pubs on one intersection (including a nudie bar) that are only 3 minutes walk from the beach? Endless Summer fun I reckon. Sorry about the badluck Brenx but there is car crime in every postcode, not just 3199.

I remember when I used to live down that way (I actually lived in Cranbourne), when Mum said we were going to Frankston, I used to get excited.
Last time I was down there (2000), I couldn't believe how much it had turned into a hell hole.

Hey I grew up there. In Frankston North of all places. Biggest craphole in Aus. Here's a tip, using a coping saw blade you can clean out the parking meters and play double dragon all day. Not that I would have done such a thing, I was a good child. ;)
Bummer on the car... |

Yes Brenx. Absolute ahole and a pain to get fixed. Better sometimes to leave the car unlocked and a sign saying so. The alarm sticker on car should say: 'No drugs left on premises'. in certain places around town. | [/url] |

It's called Davoren Park, and the name was changed from Elizabeth west about 10yrs ago to lift the image. Only problem! The image is still lying in the gutter waiting to be lifted. |

I live in Frankston too, have to say most of the CBD is a bit of a hole, I did park my car at the TAFE there for 2 years and nothing happened to it, so not all bad. Believe it or not there are some areas where it's not too bad to live

yer bad luck i think you'll find that cars get broken into in many suburbs not just frankston ;) , the place isnt too bad, its just a few people from around there, take a look at frankston south to frankston north, next to each other but worlds apart as far as value is concerned. You may say im crazy but with the 30 million dollar marina going ahead, and millions latly spent on shopping centres in frankston, etc the place is the gate to the peninsula and in the near future will be worth as much if not more than surrounding areas. ;)

I've lived in Frankston my whole life and worked there the five out of the last six years. It can be bad, but saying its all bad wouldn't be true.
Its just a humble little fishing village that's expanded beyond its means!

I live about 30 minutes drive away from Frankston but its still too close....I reckon its a hole. Wait another 15 years though and things could change as property prices go up and force the ferals out.
Sorry to hear your car got busted into, glad to hear you still have it. My old car got broken into twice in 6 months when I lived in yuppie ville Prahran, Someone else I know got broken into and they hotwired his car in McDolands car park in Prahran in broad daylight. The only reason they didn't get away with it is because you had to crank the thing over 20 gazzilion times before it would start because it was on straight LPG....they must have thought it had an imobiliser.... |
