Ergh Looks like in those pics..

Looks very much like the new 380 (Magna) from the rear, which cant be good going by it sales lately!

Looks like some Asians from Daewoo have come to test drive it. :

Why are the wheel 'vents' taped up? they are pointless and they are already on the current commodore.

they were put on the current SS to see what their acceptance would be like to put them on the new VE.

not sure as to whether the new ones will actually functional this time.

For the same reason that there is a covering on the back end.

These vehicles could be tested just as well with the full camoflague we saw earlier, but Holden, and every other car manufacturer understand the value of pre-release publicity.

If you slowly reveal the shape in stages, you get newsprint and magazine coverage at each stage. Personally, I'll reserve judgement until seeing it on the road, in the hands of purchasers. That's the real test of looks in my book.

Looks like they could be a bunch of suppliers from Korea, since alot of the parts in the new VE are sourced from them parts nowadays.

And thats life.

If I ran a business, i would not buy aussie made stuff if its is inferior or the same quality of something that is cheaper somewhere else.

Times are tough, and you have to save $$ where you can.

The fact is that a large chunk of aussie manufacurers make crap and expect people to pay for it just because its Australian.
:

Aaaaanyway.....moving along.

Im hanging out to see proper pics! :

looks the goods.
the pumped guard looks ace.

although it kinda looks odd with how the front is so much lower than the rear.
the body lines look a little strange too

not what you'd expect for an aussie sedan

very BMW'ish

Belt line is a bit to high for my liking, a bit like the current Camry, not enough glass and too high. The front is a bit to short it doesnt really fit in with the rest of the body

Otherwise it doesnt look to bad, ill reserve my judgement until later, but currently i think the BF and 380 look better

Don't know about the cheap looking, however, considering the new 5 series looks WRX'ish from the rear, imo, I think it unfortunately could be considered a valid comment.

The door/window line looks just like an IS250.
That boot is sitting pretty damn high! I wouldn't like to think how much you could see out the back unless the rear-view is sitting high in the cockpit.

I like the colour. I think thats the base model. Also looks like hubcaps on it But the rear is definitely torana.
I like the way it sits on the road, 50mm lowering 18" rims will look mean.

Just for once I would like to see a new Australian car that doesn't look like a mixture of other cars. I personally think that the BA was probably the closest to getting near that in recent times.

You mean the BA which has the same doors as an AU e The BA was a pretty safe design, it had to be after AU. The VE looks very promising to me and can only improve the breed.
