Default Telstra Mobile

Was having a look through the telstra shop yesterday when i saw a phone I was keen, being offered on pre paid. On the wall it still have the RRp as $409. So I asked the saleman about the phone. Said my boss got the phone on a $20 plan and got all these freee goodies. He said that was old stock. new stock doesn't have the free extras like data cable, bluetooth headset, memory card and software. He says that they may have old stock lying about. Anyway, first box he opened was old stock. Same phone as the new stock. So anyway, I paid the man $99 and got my phone. Only catch is, the phone is locked to the telstra network. But who cares, i have to use someones network, so why not telstra.

Software alows me to make MP3 ring tones.

Anyway, first time I have ever seen a deal at telstra like that. Thought I would share. The phone is the Motorola V360. Does everything I need.

Have alook online and do some research. You might find you can unlock the phone from telstra to use with other providers

I work for a telstra shop and to unlock a prepaid phone from the telstra network is possible, but does come at a cost. I tis $50 to unlock a phone in the first 6 months or $27.50 there after.
Hope you like the phone, and hope this has been of some help.

I'm happy with the service from Telstra and being prepaid i would imagine that there will be no problems you get when your on plans. So I'll stick with Telstra. I was with optus for about the last 10 years. I only ever stayed with them because they offer good phones on the cheapie plans.

I don't think I'll be looking to upgrade handsets now for a few years.

Got some recharge credits today. The guy in the store took care of activating it for me. So that was good service. Even thou they were busy.
