Default I drove A 350RWKW XR6T Ute today!!!

Ohh my god...

Here I am at the pub that I work, having a smoke and speaking to a couple of the locals today after just driving past and dropping in to say hello and theres this local whose a mate of mine, a plumber who drives this stock looking Mercury silver XR6T Ute. We've spoken about both of our cars on a few occasions but usually i've been working.

This time we're talking again about our cars, he's telling me about how he's boosted the car and had heaps of work done so its around 350 neddies, he's getting the six speed, stand alone engine management etc etc. Then he says "Ya wanna go for a drive?", "Shhyeah" I say : thinking that I will only be a passenger. Crossing the road to the Standard looking BA Turbs parked in front of my shitter, he hands me the key ...... I begin to shake and lose my balance..... I make myself comfy in the cockpit and turn the key, She starts like any other BA 6 cylinder..

"Be careful", He says "She's got a bit of mumbo".... Mumbo? bloody hell, Mumbo aint the word to describe this.
I drove normally out of the parking spot, very impressed at the driveability of this beast, It feels just as normal as mums NA BA XR6, that is until he tells me to give it the boot.....

: :sm_headba Jesus... My hair looks like the guy off the sopranos all flown back, I've never driven anything like it (Apart from a 911 turbo) it just went and went and went and didnt let up, the power was freaking crazy! I can't say i've been pushed back so hard in my life into a seat, this car lit up the rears in third!!! and fourth gear it went better than my car in second (probably even first actually)!! Zzzzzoooooooooommmmsssccchhhhhhhhhh, chhhh! Unbeleivable. I'm just lost for words, Awesome, ridiculous, frighteningly fast come to mind... You can have your V8's....

Yeah, Its a car that i'd have........ quite easily......

Bastard. I'm slowly getting into new car mode, looking for a new V8... AND YOU'RE NOT HELPING!!!

Did he say what was done to it? I'd assume a 2 kit?

lo.,..good writeup

It's a great feeling isnt it, driving a machine you're in control of with so much grunt. Over the holidays I was lucky enough to drive the APS Twin turbo Monaro with a tad under 400rwkw's....did the same thing as the ute, light up 1st, 2nd 3rd, and it squats so low under full thottle! It gave me the feeling that while it has to be driven with respect and responsibility, you can't get enough power!

Where did he get the work done at?
