Hey guys,
Does anyone know what is required to fit a set of 20ies on a EF XR8? What width would be needed for the correct load rating? (235/245????) I'm guessing coilovers would be required on the front and guards rolled at a miminum... Thanks |

Whats the point in 20 inch rims? They look stoopid.

20 inch rims will have the bling factor, but on a E series falcon, even when lowered, you can't get that "slammed" look that a nice set of 18s and dropped will get ya. Plus the largest wheel that came out of the EF series was the optional 17" on the XR? That means you can only go an inch over (18") without the fear of being defected.
There are a host of other things ie tyres are cheaper and wider range, 20's will throw your speedo out, car will be substancially slower than a car with the same rolling diameter rims as stock. Even the added weight will make the car more sluggish. Bah, who am I kidding, I wanna see an EF on 20s. Just concider the above |

Agree with what ArgonEF said, except the only time the 17" were available were on the EL GT's and i think the EB GT's. all XR models had optional 16" only.
so unless you have a GT then the biggest you can legally go is 18".

you can go whatever size wheels you like as long as it doesnt increase in overall standing height by more than 15mm or 15%. cant remember which one. and you cant increase in width anymore than 26mm each side of the car. so go for it. dont let anyone fool you with size legalities |

20's...lol
19's look bad enough on some e series. I dont understand why people think bigger looks better. Its got alot more to do with the suspension set up than anything. Most 17's look great with the right spring. Hell ive got 16's and they dont look bad at all.
