ebay has gone down hill fast. i recently tried to sell an oven. now the winning bidder doesn't want to pay up, saying he cant afford it. why bid then? these people will either just take your money, or just get a friend to bid ( reese3827 perhaps?), or simply cancel the item if they dont get the price they want. snipe it, dont bid early and you'll get a bargain if its legit. You can always find out if you can pick the item up, if he's got nothing to hide, you'd expect this would be ok. seems to me, if you're sellign hotmail addresses (yes one guy at least is doing this) you'll do alot better than if you're trying to sell something of value. good luck mate. : |

follow your intuition on this one. ebay is full of dodgy operators who are on ebay beacuse of the ability to hide behind a user name.
No history is a bad sign for someone with expensive items for sale. email them with cash pick up face to face buy now bid meet them down the pub and hope you don't get rolled! Its SUS |

Everything on ebay is sus these days.
I used to be an ebayaddict.. buying/selling daily.. etc etc.. these days I stay away from it.. and only buy off there if I have to or if it's a significant saving. I'd still rather buy from a shop/person in real life after seeing how dodgy ebay has gone. All went down hill when this all started: "99c, buy now, for this memory card! ($39 shipping, seller location: china)" |

Can't say I've had a problem with ebay, just stay away from auctions like that, it's obviously suss.
Only issues I've had was one buyer disapearing off the face of the earth and another who hasn't picked the item up yet....but he's paid! |
