Default Weird Food Habits

Following on from that vegemite thread (and reading some of the weird ways people eat it) I thought i'd start a thread on weird food habits.

Do you have any weird recipies/ways of eating things?

I'll start first:

French Onion Dip w/ Chicken on a sandwich
Eating Frozen Chicken Nuggets (they are cooked, just very cold)
Fake mash potato in a cup
Sauce and a peice of bread as a snack, be it soy, tomato, BBQ, mayo..

... thats about all I can think of at the moment.

Hah, this guy at work used to eat noodles this way at smoko, everybody called him "dry noodles".

I like cheese/jam sandwiches and can 500 grams of english winegums before you can say Jack Robinson.
I love eating meat/potatoes/vegies covered in applesauce.
Also, I can skull 1ltr of custard.
Other than that, I love my Dutch foods, which seem weird to Australians.

Mmmmmmmmm Dutch foods ..... my uncle is Dutch ....... now please forgive the spelling but he taught my grandma to make harsenfeffer ??????? I belive the translation is rabbit in pepper sauce ....... I LOVVEEEEE that stuff .......

Bit like applemuss ...... yummbo ..... & those biscuits ....... the almond type jobbies ......

Mmmmmmmmmmmm at Dutch food ;)

I have strange tastes I think ..... compared to most ........

Nothing like Mustard on boiled potatoes, Poached egg on toast that has vegemite & cream cheese & then grated cheese on top, Lashings of mint sauce on any meal ;)

OK I will stop now ....... :P

I don't eat pickles or onions on fast food burgers. I always order it without.

I rarely eat fruit. I don't eat vegetables.

I'm very fussy.

At one bizarre stage I used to eat Sao's with stacks of cheese and tomato sauce on top. Just thinking of this know makes me cringe.

When I was a kid my favourite breakfast was fried Lambs brains on toast. And yes, I am talking REAL lambs brains.

Another good snack is potato chips in a sandwich or bread roll.

I remember the Twistie roll. Get bread roll and Twisties from tuckshop and combine.

My main one I have is a toasted sandwich with shaved Ham and/or chicken with cheese. When they are done, put tomato sauce on top

How did I miss THIS thread? :hihi:

One that I've ben known to have that is a little odd, is cooked rinsed rice, mixed in with a reasonable amount of tomato sauce. Sometimes I'll even add tinned tuna and shredded cheese to it as well. Rice and tomato sauce, sounds weird, but I challenge anyone else to try it. :P

That reminds me of when I was a kid, my mother used to make lamb fritters (I think that's what she used to call them), which was lambs brains whisked up with a few things added to make a liquid, then cooked in the frypan just like pancakes. :

She used to try and tell me they were pancakes, but the giveaway was that she would get out the tomato sauce to put on them, instead of the jam and cream we'd normally have on pancakes, and besides, after the first bite, there was no doubt they were NOT pancakes. :

Rice and tomato sauce is ok, but if you want a bit of meaty taste, rice and a bit of gravy...

My fav is half a slice of toast with penut butter, other half has stawberry jam, folded together.

It is quite normal to drink Beer and eat Chocolate at the same time.

Does anyone else eat Lemons?

That reminds me of what my sister used to do. At Maccas she'd eat the fries by dipping them in her chocolate thickshake (if she had one)

She also eats the burgers a layer at time. Pulls it apart, eats the meat, then tomatto, bun, etc etc..

* Peanut butter and tomato on toast
* Used to like tuna and cheese jaffles years ago.. (and didnt they smell a treat!)
* Chips on all kinds of sandwiches, especially chicken & salad... salt'n'vinegar work a treat
* Patented "Breakfast Curry" and "Breakfast Laksa" dishes, nothing like high quality leftovers reheated at 6am!
* Hot chips covered in napoli pasta sauce
* Hot chips as the base for "haystacks"

... and one drink,
* Coke and fresh orange juice, mixed! Love that orange froth!
