Default Just a thought....

Now that FPV is no more and FoA is becoming an importer only, is there any tuner shops or organisations locally looking to pick up the torch and give the ford line up a tickle to create some uniquly aussie performance Fords?

Is there any chance that someone like Herrods can step up and do a low volume line similar to FPV, with Ford approval and warranty?

I'd love to see some local performance shop tweak a mustang that then outruns anything the yanks have done for the same money.

Herrod are the official Ford Racing Performance Parts supplier in Oz. So once Mustang is here i'm sure they will be trying to sell as many Mustangs parts as they can.

I'm sure they will be but I'm talking about upgraded turn key vehicles like the FPV GT and F6 were. Walk in, point to the shiny new Herrod enhanced Mustang GT with the blown or turbo'd 5L and upgraded brakes, suspension, drive train and body kit and say "I'll take one of those in blue thanks, and hand over the cheque.

Call it the HEGT for Herrod Engineering GT. Or how about the other way round -GTHE. Now wouldn't THAT make the internet forums melt down, haha.

You mean like what roush has been doing for years in the states they offer different levels from just a trim/bodykit package to full blow superchrged monsters you can buy at a dealership with warranty and for approved maybe roush will do it here.

I would like to see DJR get into building road vehicles such as modified Mustangs, with Herrod being a partner of DJR this could really happen, kinda like the DJR320 back in the day.
Obviously DJR would have to continue racing Fords so there is a link with its racing & road operations.

Yes, sort of like roush, but more like what FPV were doing. But I'd like to see an aussie outfit do it because I reckon we could do it better.

KPM offer full warranty for their mods, but they are more of an aftermarket enhancement specialist than Herrods who also do full car builds (or used to). Then there's the old mob like Mick Webb SVO.....
