Dodge has released some details and photos of the new model in the Challenger 2015 Line up..
The hell cat sit on of the challenger models,on top of the Challenger "Scat pack" which already packs 485hp/461Kw from its 6.4Litre Hemi. They have not advised of the actual figures as of yet (which is becoming the norm with American Muscle - like ford with with the new mustang), other then it will have over "600hp" and you would think it will have MASSIVE amount of torque, considering they get 631Nm or something out of the N/A Hemi. This will be either paired to a 6 speed Manual or 8 speed ZF Auto. and there again appears to be a lot of Performance tech involved. The Big Question here is... will this or more likely the new Model (2018) make it here to OZ?? would you like to see it reach our shores? If so, there could be some hard decisions to be made for some... Mustang or Challenger? Link to info and a good gallery of photos: http://www.autoblog.com/2014/05/20/2...lcat-official/

You won't see it in Oz. Not from Dodge directly. As per usual it will be left off the export list to Australia, and will left to be imported by private importers that buy the car, convert it to RHD then push it out the door for 150-200k
Sure they have to make money but surely accreditation for ADRs, labour and that doesn't cost an extra 100k on top of the purchase price and import costs. Australia gets nothing, we get the shyte. And it's overly priced. The worst thing is. People pay it. I'm not being negative about the car. Great car. We just won't see it.

Hopefully the demise of the SRT8 300 will see Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep Aus have a serious think/push for either the Charger or Challenger SRT models to be produced in RHD, there was talk of Ram Trucks and Charger Sedans not that long ago but sadly not much seems to have come from it.
The Challenger looks great and if its put together as well as the 300 SRT i was looking at yesterday it would be a great modern muscle car, albeit a little on the heavy side compared to the Stang. |

These things are such a wicked blend of the old and the new they're bordering on irresistable.

Yea, i dont think we will see the current Gen of the Cars from Dodge.. :( BUT all 3 of the RWD drive models (Charger, Challenger and 300) are up for a complete new models in 2018.. this is when we could see them here, as this will the first new models under the Fiat / Chrysler Brand.. at the moment, its all just been mid life refreshes.. for all cars involved... so only time will tell and they may see how successful the Mustang is in the RHD markets before deciding Yes or No on the building RHD. and considering they all sit on the 300 platform which has always been built in RHD, it might help their case to build all in RHD when the new models are released.. again, this could me just dreaming.. as its all about the time my current 300 will be ready to be replaced.. lol!

Awesome looking car. The only thing to come close to it was that mock up FG coupe that was floating around here.

The Challenger looks awesome in the flesh, makes the stang look pretty pansy in comparison, Charger looks crap in the flesh. Challenger and Camaro are the best looking stuff in America right now.

If I had a dollar for every time you said the Challenger and Camaro look better than the Mustang I'd be rich and retired. Looks are subjective, I happen to think the Camaro looks rubbish, and that's before you even get in it and are exposed to that good awful interior and virtually non existent vision out of the pathetic windows. Thankfully the Mustang has more going for it than just looks, it will run rings round the Challenger model for model. If it wasn't for the Transformers movies the Camaro would be a nobody. |

I like the looks of both the Camaro and Challenger but the rear guards (Hip line) on the Camaro wreck them for me. they always make the back wheels look small and average. No matter what size they are. The 68's are unbeatable in that respect. GT500's look awesome in the flesh and with the right wheels look tougher than all of them in my opinion

Challenger is a 5 seater Mustang is a 4 seater while neither has the best back seat for distance touring the 5 seater makes it a better choice as the family backup machine. Makes the decision easy in my case

Can't wait for Dodge to bring out their 4 cylinder (aka SRT8/2) , toe to toe with the eco-stang, totally exhilarating!

I love the look of it, best looking of the muscle cars. Though it still weighs a fair bit. Mustang should kill it on the circuit (Camaro already does).

I love the KISS styling on the exterior, refreshing change from the spoilers, stripes, vents and LED's everywhere approach.
