Default Channel 9's sour grapes.

Was just flipping between channels and stumbled on ACA trying to cash in on the INXS hype at the moment. Channel 7 cleaned up on the ratings with the INXS mini series and blew away the Schapelle Corby crap that 9 served up against it. so tonight ACA served up Micheal Hutchences' sister to bag the series and try to take the shine off it. It just reminds me why I don't ever bother to watch the sshhiitte they serve up.

Today Tonight got the boot because they got set up bad by a group called "Facebeef" and exposed their poor "journalism" and people lost jobs because of it.

Im on my phone but have a google into it.

The thing is these shows could have good investigative journalism programs.. But its done too easy now..Some of the stuff is straight off youtube..

I haven't watched TV in months, lost interest several years ago and flick it on at random times to see what I'm missing out on.

Tell ya what, anyone seen that Chinese version of perfect match? I find it quite entertaining!

So Ch9 has a bag out the Ch7 show the night after it finishes and after its already rated?

and now when it goes to DVD (and it will) this CH9 scandle will only help to promote it

TT / ACA have sledged each others respective channels on and off in the past in the guise of quality investigative journalism for years. I only frequent them when I'm channel surfing when the show I'm watching cuts to an ad break to get a laugh and give myself a facepalm. It's so poor that it's comedic. Recycled bad neighbours/hoons/welfare cheats/landlords stories - the list goes on. I can't believe these "current affair" shows are what the people want these days. I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed - but I find a lot of TV insulting to my intelligence.

It's really hard to find a doco or human interest story, let alone a good movie to watch. When you do find a good movie, they inflate a 90min run with so many ads it's pumped up to 180min. I only have FTA.

Some of you older members will remember when the commercial 1/2hr nightly news had only one commercial break - that was between when the cute weather girl came on to do the weather report.

Cest la vie!

I bought the GI Joe DVD set for 13 bucks. Best thing to watch...
Added to my plethora of Footy DVDs, Seinfeld, Rock's Modern Life, Voltron, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, Astroboy 80s etc.

TV just plain sucks.

TT and ACA are only good in knowing which washing powder is the best...and even then, I can get that off Youtube.

They're both irrelevant - bullshit sensationalism done poorly.

60 Minutes is sensationalist often, but at least it's often interesting and offers insight into things for better or worse...
The human stories are at least interesting.
