Saw a new Bentley today, stood out. Not my kind of car, but very expensive models are a rarity in Hobart amongst the clunkers!
Made me think. What is my dream car if I could afford it? Not as best value/investment/reliability etc etc, just what do I want to have in my garage if given a choice. After considering modern supercars from Lambo, Ferrari etc, mind-blowing to drive no doubt, I ended up between three; - Ford/Shelby AC Cobra - Ferrari F40 - Ford GT (original, not new one) Not sure why, as I generally don't admire old cars that much, but well, with these three I just love them! AC Cobra got the nod! What is your "dream" car? Last edited by MercuryT; 06-02-2014 at 07:23 PM. |

Hardly what most would consider "dream car" material, but:
http://tougefactory.com/shop/2013/03...nd-gen-rx8-r3/ Basically one of 'those', in 'that' colour, powered by one of 'them' - with a sunroof! I could tell you all about my dream cars, but the list is; Quote:

I can't decide between the 2 so I would just have to buy both.
The 1970 Pontiac GTO & the 1976/77 SS Chevy Chevelle. Perhaps I would add an ELEANOR 'Stang to the list as well as an E55 Charger with the 265 HEMI & triple carbs...mmm...carbs are good, dietitions don't know crap ! Last edited by Spurious; 06-02-2014 at 10:52 PM. |

My dream was always an XY GT(unobtanium for my bank balance).
There are plenty of cool cars i like, Rolls/Ford Gt/Porche panamera/AC Cobra. but if a tatts win came in on saturday, i'd have a GT in one corner of the garage for feeling young again , and a Lexus LS460 would do me down to the ground for the rest of the time, not huge horse power, not super fast ,but Lexus quality with 8 speed auto, quad cam v8...... super quiet, super comfy. |

Or if any sense of reality is required for this "dream" a Silver 1963 'Split Window' Vette would do me. Or... |

What I am driving now - see below...
I could put down a RR, Lambo or Ferrari 308, but Mr 'H', always puts a smile on my face when I head out on the road. I disapprove of the term 'Super Car'. Doesn't exist.

New cars?
S-Class Benz...no two ways about it. Classic? A 1965 Pontiac GTO with the 421 tri-power engine and four speed, or a VH Charger E49 in that orange colour. Or both. Or all three of the cars I just mentioned. Speaking of 120Y Datsuns, I recently saw one which made me utter the words I never thought would ever leave my mouth: "Now that's a 120Y I'd love to own"... Here it is in all its glory, taken at Mcdonalds in Gracemere outside Rocky...someone had obviously spent a lot of time and effort on this little gem. Last edited by 2011G6E; 08-02-2014 at 05:21 AM. |
