Default UFO shaped like a Ford runs woman off road

http://www.perthnow.com.au/news/ufo-...-1225918328203

A NORTHERN Territory woman claims she was cut off by two alien beings in a spaceship shaped like a Ford station wagon - before it took off surrounded by green, blue and red flames.

It was just one of the stories to come out after ABC morning show presenter Leon Compton opened up the airwaves to UFO believers, according to the Northern Territory News.

Betty from Alice Springs said her close encounter occurred in 1969.

She was driving 20km south of Aileron towards Alice Springs at 4am with her six-year-old daughter when they saw the vehicle "flying alongside us".

"We saw these two figures inside this thing. It looked like a Ford station wagon, with the windows," Betty said.

"It came in front of us really quickly."

Her daughter then said: "There's nothing to be afraid of."

"I said, 'Why did you say that?

"She said, 'I don't know, it just came out of my mouth'.

"And as I was talking, the whole think took off like a shot out of a gun ... And then there was all this green and blue and red flames or lights all around it.

"I'll never forget it."

Dennis from Batchelor said his sighting was shared by a crowd of people on the Dripstone Cliffs at sunset.

"A mate and I were looking down the beach and saw this orangey-pink light progressing towards us. No sound at all," he said.

"We just watched it in silence as it cruised on past the casino."

At least the aliens had good taste in cars.

This may explain why the dealers find it hard to fix the problems on the Falcons......

So Ford never built the wagon. It was technology passed down from aliens.

Ford axeing the wagon now may have consequences. Anyone seen the movie Independance day?

We're through the looking glass here people.

its true . this thing burnt a dyno to the ground when testing for power and couldnot be measured during testing at the drags ( it was too fast ) the amazing thing though is the perth rta clocked it going through a red light and sent the photos and redlight camera fine to alfa centuri . the theory is in 10 000 years we should get payment if the aliens are benevelent . but the govt is not so sure as apparentely two rather long fingers are seen through the passenger side window when the photo was taken .

What if it was just a ghost? 2 people in a falcon wagon crashed and died out there?
Their ghosts now patrol the highway?

If it really is aliens, the pretty cool fact of it is that of all the cars on the world, they picked the falcon wagon to zip around in

There is a good incident that happened to a family driving arcoss the Nullabour. Apparently they left Ceduna and arrived in Ucla in too shorter time (can't remember how long). Anyway the husband, oblivios to what had happened, pulled into the petrol station and he discovered he still had a full tank of gas. The car was covered in dust and there were 3 dents in the roof. Apparently a truck going the other way had witnessed a bright light hovering over the car before the car dissapeared. Now when you cross the border into WA you'll see a sign that says "Aliens next 111kms". Thats a story that has always fascinated me.

Yeah I read that at the servo last time I did the Nullabour trip.

My great grandmother used to talk about seeing a light one night driving from Perth to Geralton (around 70 years ago), she reckons she had all her kids packed up in the back of their old ford, going down the highway (read - gravel coach track) at around four in the morning, and she saw a bright blue light come screaming up behind her. She said it was going so fast she thought it was going to kill them, so she told the kids she loved them etc, and right at the last second the light swerved around the car without slowing down and continued in front of them until it was out of sight.

Now that woman was very on the ball, and never told a word of a lie. She wouldn't have said it if she hadn't have seen it. Things like that really interest me.

If it was the 1990s, I would have said it was a Ford Taurus.

I wonder what warranty the vehicle has, more importantly, what you would file a claim under considering "taking off with red, green and blue flames" sound like a LOT could go wrong with it :P

UFO sightings have always had a history of being farfetched, but for one to actually resemble human technology let alone a car of all things. Geez, we must have some fans out there.....

Oh well, resembling a Ford would at least indicate there may actually be intelligent life out there after all.

Have to remember that in 1965 or whenever the sighting was made, there wasn't much you could say something 'looked like', it probably looked nothing like a ford wagon, but that was the only point of reference they had.

Theres been plenty of UFO sightings on the long trips across the country, and make of them what you will, but a fair few of them have been made by people like cops and pilots. Hell, there was that guy in the 80's (I think) flying his Cessna from Melbourne, and he radioed in about seeing a huge object tailing him, the ground picked it up on radar, and then he disappeared - with no wreckage found.

Regardless of it being ufo's, army planes, or people being generally on the piss, its always interesting to hear peoples accounts of seeing strange things.
