The world has stopped turning. Drive.com.au has given the Ford Fiesta Econetic the thumbs up over the Toyota Prius. Toby must be on holidays and he will puke when he finds out that a Drive article has out a Ford ahead of anything else.

I couldn't see where they said that they selected the Fiesta as an outright winner over the Prius. Looks like more of a head-to-head comparison than a real world test.

It does read that way but they have effectively said something bad about a Toymotor which must be close to a first.
Cheers Russ

Verdict (Prius) Clever, safe, spacious and frugal but let down in this face-off by the driving experience.
But the point is that Ford has gotten good print out of the Drive web site. In the recent past, even when Drive gave a compliment, it was always a backhanded on. Surely, that is a first for a long time ... |

Lol, maybe Toby had to let the reins off a little since Ford did give Drive a lot of extra publicity when they used their Bathurst road test quote in national media for a few weeks. Then again even a Toyota exec would suffer "Pinocchio" syndrome if they claimed the current Fiesta was a worse driving experience then a Prius.
