Thumbs down MyFord - what a crock!

Just got an email inviting me to register for MyFord.

Cool!

Go thorugh the hoops and enter my details.

Hit register.

Confirmation email turns up - sweet (although I am thinking it would be good to have been told that was happening in the registration confirmation web page, but anyway.........)

Click the confirmation link, and get told I am activated. All good I am thinking.

Then, instead of logging me in, it tells me I can now log on. No link to the logon page though! Hmmmm.....would have been convenient I am thninking .....

Go to the logon page by retyping the URL (there is no Home link either!)

Then enter my username, then my password.

Hit Login.

Prompt comes up. "Password field is mandatory"

I wonder if the same people who built this web site did the data migration that resulted in loss of my cars build details!

Too poor! Far to poor!

That's my rant!

Wow, so they have finally got MyFord up and running after all these years? It was meant to be finished a few years ago. I was also signed up to be notified when it was finished, haven't received anything. I was a member on their old system. It was pretty useless, apart from downloading a PDF version of the car's manual.

What are the benefits of the website?
I got the email and went to sign up but decided not to after the condition that Your details may be passed onto ford dealers for marketing purposes or something along those lines. Put me right off.

If I and one other person are the only ones having trouble, I am
suspecting that it is probbably something to do with the password creation failing at their end. Could be the char string or something.

Thinks about it ...... Yeah it probably is, but either way this should have been tested before being sent live. I happen to know about IT stuff a little bit!

Prob need to call 13FORD and get a new password. Am thinking that will fix the prob!

Cheers

Back in the day you could enter VIN numbers and get build dates/factory options for whatever car. Now that it doesn't even have that, it's a pretty pointless site.

Not to mention they replaced the video of some hottie chick with Matthew Hayden.
