Saw it and imediately sent off an email to Sunrise and the newsroom. Just more inacurate reporting of which we have seen a fair bit of recently.

I find it extrordinary that we (the public) seem to pick up on these issues whereas Ford's PR or marketing should have seen this do nothing to let the rest of the buying public know.......sometimes i think that they dig their own graves....

"Holden Commodore, only new car to gain 5 star safety rating" with no explanation whatsoever. More evidence of the massive media bias that needs to be highlighted.

GWN declared last night that "Holden Commodore Omega is Australia's safest car". I think an email to Media watch is in order.

Its rediculous that the enthusiasts need to try and set the media straight. lol. All because Ford is incapable of doing so. : |

Australia has a bigger Holden following than Ford following.
Appealing to the masses, as well as the masses not reporting properly. I would love Sunrise to actually do a comparison between the two cars and then report back on refinement, fuel consumption, comfort, quality, safety, handling etc. Maybe then they'll be able to report something accurately. The general public though views Holden as 'Australia's Car' while Ford is a dirty American company. Damn, how I wish the record could be set straight...

I would love sunrise to be just taken off the air. They should use Koch and Mel as the dummies in the crash test vehicles

You'll probably find that Mel and Kochie have nothing to do with news headlines.
I'll bet Berrets has something to with it - he's admitted his bias toward the lion on several occassions. Either way, a comparison revealing the dirty truth that no one wants to hear should be done by Today / Tonight or ACA. |

Hmm didn't Ford advertise the 5 star rating on that festival they call the olympics??
So sunrise advertised the 5 star rating and there was another thread where a radio station said the Commodore was the only Australian car that had a 5 star rating. Hmmm Holden marketing now has the power to get the media to 'misinform'. Probably being paranoid.

Just saw on the news, "How well woud your car fair in a head on collision? Holden Commodore Omega scored the top result of 5 stars, Ford Falcon Ute etc. scored 4 stars while Nissan Micra etc. scored 3 stars."
That's so misleading. It doesn't say "of the latest group tested", so to the average consumer it sounds like it's the safest on the market. With many higher scoring 5 star rated cars on the market, every other manufacturer should be peeved.

A car with a 5 star rating will probably fare the same one with a 4 star rating, because the 5th star is based on having side airbags.

Maybe Ford should say, "While Ford are breaking new ground, others are catching up."
"How will you car fare in a collision? The Ford Falcon Ute only scored 4 stars, while a Mack truck cleaned up the wall it hit. What you you rather? I mean, Holden could compare apples with apples, rather than more BS media spin, which only leads to the fools in the mass-media mis-reporting everything, seemingly constantly.
