Default what will be worth more?

hey guys got a bit of a dilemma...

what will be worth more in a few years time...

A XW Phase 2 replica...originally a fairmont 302 so it has 4 wheel discs etc and now has a 351 clevo,3spd auto, lpg conversion and big $$$ spent on driveline and engine to make it run like its on petrol...so its very cheap to run very good condition all round and basically to the public is hard to pick from a real GT apart from VIN no. (its a JG34 instead of JG33)

OR

A standard 1971 Mach 1 mustang with a 351 cleveland... done 50k's since new...everything factory on it and in mint condition

i just want to see what all you guys think and gauge some sort of public reaction towards both cars...obviously being in oz we all can relate to the falcons ALOT more and the general public tend to appreciate them a little more (not being rude to american owners its just fact coz we live in oz)

but yeah both cars have their up sides....which car would appreciate more in value over the next 5-10 years?

cheers

The Mustang is original. That gets my vote.

Yeah bit of a no brainer I thought, Mustang all the way. But the rep sure does look good.

not sure on 71-73 prices but i know of people paying big dollars ($30K) for running 70 mach 1's, neatish but in need of alot of work,if not a resto, if the mustang is all original i'd put my money on that.
the XW will be worth some dollars as the prices of 'real' GTs go up but not as much as a genuine mach.
that said the later muscle mustangs (71-73) seem a tad harder to move than say a classic 65-66 or the much sought after 69.
i love the 71's and would happily have one next to the 70 if i could afford it.
i'd say the 71 would be worth a bit already .
so yeah i'd say the mustang worth more but harder to move if you were selling, especially if LHD, some people are pretty scared off by LHD

My pick is the Mustang, quite rare to see on the road nowadays.

I was meaning the GT reps or any old Falcon/Fairmont. Would you pay upwards of 30k for a 40 year old Falcon when for alittle more coin and alot more uniqueness you could be sitting in a Cusso, Stang, Vette, Rambler etc etc..

Mustang.
Convert the Fairmont back to being a Fairmont- it will probably be worth more than as a lookalike in the long run.
