Cool GT4 Licenses

Ok, it's my turn to post a GT4 thread!

Some people seem to be getting a bit comfortable driving one particular Aussie car, so I am looking for people who have the ability to jump into a large variety of vehicles and dominate!

I've completed all license tests in silver (and a few in gold accidentily), so I want to know if anyone has beaten all of my times. I'll just post the special license coz the rest were so easy to get silver that I didn't pursue every last second out of them. In fact, if I got silver first go, I didn't run them again, regardless of the license.

I think this should be a good comparison as you can't modify the car at all, so it tests peoples ability to jump into a variety of cars and drive around their difficulties, as well as tackling a huge variety of surfaces and circuits.

GT4 Special License - in Silver

1) Twin Ring Motegi - Honda Civic - 2.18.571
2) Citta di Aria - Alfa Romeo Spyder - 2.19.608
3) SS Route 5 - Saleen S7 - 1.26.346
4) Costa di Amalfi - Lancia Stratos - 2.18.960
5) Seattle - Ford GT40 - 1.36.357
6) Ice Arena - Hyundai Accent WRC - 0.56.000
7) Trial Mountain - Mercedes SLR McLaren - 1.31.931
8) Tokyo R246 - Honda NSX JGTC - 1.35.256
9) El Capitan - Dodge Viper SRT10 - 1.50.614
10) Grand Canyon - Mitsubishi Starion Rally Car - 2.51.140
11) Opera Paris - Renault Clio Sport V6 - 1.38.320
12) Suzuka Circuit - Nissan Z JGTC - 1.58.043
13) Infineon Raceway - Audi R8 Race Car - 1.17.042
14) Chamoix - Peugeot 205 Turbo Rally Car - 2.30.105
15) Circuit de la Sarthe - Bentley Speed 8 Race Car - 3.24.686
16) Nurburgring - AMG Mercedes 190E Touring Car - 7.22.339

Just something to give those who like to pull a one lap wonder out of a car something to shoot for, or feel good about.

I'll provide screenshots if / when required, but this is just a friendly thread.

I personally feel the Nissan Z JGTC at Suzuka was the hardest of all the tests - the car was on the ragged edge the whole way around.

Tim!

Ok, here is a competition I KNOW I won't win! To be honest, I have yet to complete all the special license tests, and I'm happy just to get bronze on them!

On my first shot of nurburgring I got a 7:36, second shot I got a 7:29, I reckon I could get a better time, but I just CBF :P I got the special licence and that's all that matters! But I am going back to the A and B licences and trying to get gold on them all.

The idea of the thread was the challenge of getting a good time, not the "I don't care so long as I got bronze". Any stooge can do that.

I'm asking who is good!

Getting Golds is very good, but on the earlier licenses its not too difficult (but still requires time and well done for getting them all!). It's the special license that I found to be challenging, and some more than others.

While Golds in general, in the special license, impress me, the two I would really like to see are the Nissan Z JGTC and the Merc 190 at the Ring.

I'm just posting this out of curiosity's sake, and yeah, the special license is a lap of a particular circuit in a particular car.

If you can get all golds in the special license, I'll be mightily impressed!

Also, for those who enjoy chasing down the top times, do you find you're able to use the steering wheel, or a controller? I cannot imagine doing the Nissan JGTC with a steering wheel, the right left right chicanes just seem too quick for the wheel, but I haven't used one alot so it could just be that I am used to the controller and prefer it.

Getting Gold is so damn tough in this game.

I have a few Golds tho. I'll have a look when I get home.

I've done all the international ones and just have to do the...is it called the special lincence? The one where its just all complete tracks.

I use the wheel. I did a 1.58 something in the Nissan JGTC - its not that bad as its like driving a real car! Just gotta be quick.
