Default power steering issue

I got in the car this morning and started it and there was no steering. As in the steering wheel needed both hands to turn the wheel a fraction.

There is fluid in the reservoir to the correct amount, no leak on the ground underneath, and the belt is running fine.

Could this me a power steering switch gone? Or perhaps a rack gone?
Anyone else had an issue like this?

Going to go pull off the switch connector to see if there is fluid in it.

Is there absolutely no assistance, meaning with the engine off there is no change in the effort required?

Can you mark the pulley and shaft to be certain it’s not spinning loosely?

I got someone in the car before I started looking at it and got them to turn the wheel with the car on and the movement was OK, but still not great but could move with 1 hand.

took the plug off the switch and there is oil in there and over the switch. Cleaned the oil off and plugged it back in and there is power steering now.

Seems OK now, so assuming it is the switch. Never had a switch go on me on any AU i've owned, so not sure if this is what happens when the switch goes.

Ordered a replacement switch and will swap over and see if it fixes it.
