Guys looking @ a
New 2010 plated Zetec. Leather Manual In the red (colarado red iirc) On road for $24 200.... Going by the net and the usual car sites it seems like a cheap option over a 2nd hand one without the leather hovering around the 20+k mark. Besides alot of the 2nd handies are silver or white :( Not much on the Focus market so is the above car a good buy?

Not bad,
I bought an 2007 LS Zetec with 50,000kms in blue flame in 2009 for $19,000 at the time a base model new was around $27,000 there is this 2010 LV LX in red for $21,785 on carpoint http://www.carpoint.com.au/all-cars/bncis/details.aspx?R=8593824&__Qpb=true&Cr=0&__Ns=pCar_R ankSort_Int32|1||pCar_Price_Decimal|1||pCar_Make_S tring|0||pCar_Model_String|0&keywords=&__No=15&__N =1216 1246 1247 1252 1282 4294966417 4294966463 900 413&silo=1011&PriceTo=413&seot=1&__Nne=15&trecs=40 6&__sid=12CCC78D421A There are also some cheep second hand LS XR5's for low $20,000 mark if you want more squirt but if I had that money to spend on a focus Id buy this one Make: Ford Focus XR5 LV Year: 2008 VIN: WF0PXXGCDP8E63117 Colour : Electric Orange Seats: Dark Mondus Cloth with Electric Orange Highlights Reg: March 2011 Warranty: till March 2012 KM's: 58,000 Price: $26500 Car has a FULL SINCLAIR FORD Service History including receipts for all interim Oil and filter Changes at 7500 between the 15000km service intervals. Car has White wheels with ZERO gutter rash, and Pirelli P-Zero Tyres (80% Front, 50% rear). This car is STOCK other than the wheels, and the AUX port moved to under the stereo flush mounted to a blank panel near the ESP button. This car has Yellow generic plates on(swapped from my new car) and is parked and isn't going to be moved till someone wants to come and see it. Turned over of course to keep the engine all good. Still have both key fobs and bonnet key. The car is READY TO GO and still have over 12 months warranty (you can buy an extended warranty before the warranty expires). Can be viewed in North Rocks, or can organise to have it at work(Sinclair Ford) in Penrith Mon-Friday. Any enquiries 0403 815 627 - Groomy You will love the focus they are a geat car & bigger than you think Last edited by Neale; 09-01-2011 at 07:37 PM. |

to be honest I drove 2 Xr5's but for the money the squirt wasn't enough to combat the klm's and lack of cruise, the zetec was nimble and pokey enough for the task at hand...
The garage is all but full atm with a modded BF2 xr6t and 2 BA GT's + a 4 Runner but as the other half is not as tall as me the Focus/Mazda and Alpha mini cars were worth a look. Your car sales link is a good buy, but is the LX/LV without leather worth 3.5 less than the zetec with leather?? the deal is penciled in but without a huge focus knowledge I wasn't even sure what I was buying....

Bit of a trap...
Check whether it's a Mark 2 LV or a Mark 1. The mark 2 isn't like a full upgrade, but it has bluetooth and voice recognition (for those that want that sort of thing, though they'd be good for resale value). I'm fairly sure the Mark 1 didn't have those. If it's Mark 2 you've got a reasonable deal. If it's Mark 1, it's around the going rate.
