Then you only need "Bat Out of Hell III: The Monster is Loose" to complete the trilogy

The greatest story teller of all time.
Theres no doubt Bat Out Of Hell is still one of the greatest albums ever produced and ever song a classic but my favourite Meatloaf/Steinman collaboration is Objects In The rear View Mirror. Growing up with an abusive Father and running away at 15, the second verse still resonates with me today 7yrs after my Fathers passing. Last edited by BENT_8; 21-01-2022 at 11:13 PM. |

The Meatloaf / Steinman pairing was the perfect match of two extraordinary talents, now both lost to us.

Talented but he should of looked after himself, just like all before and after, lack of constant hard yakka will kill anyone, and having it all done for you is not a good thing, I think every rock star should have a project car or bike or even Camper, just lock yourself in ya shed and work on it, forget ya day job and do some physical work, and mental too, he was a bigger than normal man and needed to really look after himself, not my cup of tea, but some of his stuff was noteworthy, but aged 74, well that is a good run if it was illness free!

RIP Meatloaf. Some great songs and acting he did.
My 2 favourites songs were the PC correct "Where the rubber meats the road." and of course the Celine Dion hit he wanted first " Its all coming back to me"

Does anybody NOT own Bat out of Hell?
"You took the words..." is a song that puts me vividly at an icecream shop in Glenelg as a young kid. It was on their radio. It transports me back, love when that happens. That AFL GF performance though....hilariously bad. I used to watch it online every GF for a few years after that year.... like a trainwreck and you can't look away |

My Saturday newspaper has a two page spread about Meatloaf, one thing that stood out was how many hits come out of Bat out of Hell.
His hit Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad is interesting, especially the Japanese released version! It was translated to " A 66 per cent Seduction ".....lol... |

On further reading it seems he was OK until he cancelled a business dinner after feeling ill, it was Covid, and he became seriously ill and it seems he never recovered!.......
There is no reporters name attached to the article, they do say the sources quoted are from TMZ? |

Hi Guy's n Girls,
For a big man he could sing. when he was in eighth grade at School he stepped on a coach's foot and he screamed " Get off my foot you hunk of meatloaf'! Thats how he got his name of course. Bat out of hell sold over 43 million copies world wide " what a monstar of a album. Another Rock n Roller to leave this earth. They must have one hell of a band up there. RIP Big fella |

Sad, he was one of my all time favourites.
A lot of speculation that his death was covid related, and that he may have been unvaccinated. I hope that's not true.

Rage is paying tribute to Meatloaf right now on ABC Me, for anyone interested.
Followed by hits of 1987 to kick off retro month.
