Default Mustang GT500KR and Knight Rider

This may have been so obvious that perhaps everyone already knew it.

The special edition GT500KR that was released, I take it that the KR was meant to pay homage to it's constant appearance in Season 1 of Knight Rider....?

It took a little bit for me to get into the new series of Knight Rider (via Torrent of course, it hasn't shown in Australia as far as I know.) And you know what? It kinda worked for me. It took awhile to get into it because it seemed a little over-styled to me. But once the characters developed I actually grew to like them. I even like this Michael Knight better than the original.

And you guys are just going to drool over the noises and the things this GT500KR does on TV.

Hopefully it gets a second season. Good family viewing that my kids kept asking for.

The new GT500 KR is a tribute to the Shelby Mustang GT500 KR's from the 60's.

I thought the show pretty much sucked in the earlier half, but got better as it went on. I downloaded em all via Limewire.
At first I described the show as Bay Watch with a car instead of a beach in it, not that I minded the perve.
And the car was nice in its stock form, but the attack mode version of the car is pure RICE and looked crap.

Even tho the original was cheezy as, and the Hoff was king Cheeze himself, I think the original series 4 version of super pursuit mode looked far fetched as, but still made the car look like it was ment to be. The current version just looks so rice and nothing else.

Love the car and its sound. Wish our home grown B and F series GT's sounded like that one.

Well, the signs are not good that it will get a second season. Billy has already signed onto another show. But there is no confirmation one way or the other yet if it will be axed or continue.

Brilliant series, love how its so unrealistic at times but its just great to lose yourself watching something like that once in a while!

Still working my way through all four seasons of the original as well.

Yes, I'm a Knight Rider fan through and through.

There's mixed reports. From eztv's news section on the show:

Quote:
Knight Rider will not be returning for another spin in the fall, sources tell TVGuide.com. The reboot of 1980s series drew just 5.76 million viewers with its Wednesday-night finale, a 21 percent drop-off from its September premiere. And this despite some retooling along the way.
And then from the same site a few days later:

Quote:
The show is not cancelled. We're doing a reboot and, a lot of folks don't know this, but NBC not only cut costs by cutting episodes, which they did on a bunch of shows. They also just laid off 750 people yesterday in their production offices and their other offices. So this is a cost-cutting measure, it is not a cancellation measure.
