I have a 04 1.8 SR focus each time i get it serviced by ford i get a different oil 1st 5w30 castrol , 2nd 10w30 havoline, third 10w40 mobil syn,and now were back to 5w30.
I have been told by ford customer care that i should always run 5w30 in it, but all other oils used should meet their spec's but this is not on the oil containers in the shops. 1)what oil do you use in your similar focus's 2)should i stick to 5w30 and or just do the oil changes myself as 5w30 is hard to find can i use 5w40 Thank you |

have you tried the dealer's spare parts department, i dare say if they recommend 5w30, then they should have plenty of it in stock.
