For decades I’ve struggled to remove the gum left behind when tyre weights are peeled off.
The other day, after once again struggling with this issue on a set of filthy wheels, I wondered - would the soft rubber “pinstripe remover” stripping discs work. A quick google showed it’s a successful and popular method. 
At least I’m unlikely to suffer so much in the future. Don’t ever look forward to wheel detailing, but at least this part of the chore should become much easier.
